Duties and Responsibilities
-Oversee the Skill Laboratories, maintain all laboratory records and inventories.
-Ensure all equipment, devices and manikins are arranged and stored probably.
-Monitor procedures for signing out lab equipment including any other learning resources such as audio-visual materials.
-Ensure the safe storage of equipment and materials.
-Keeps equipment and manikins in working order by performing tests, following preventive maintenance guides.
-Maintains supplies inventory by foreseeing needs, counting stock, placing orders, and verifying delivery
-Coordinate student and faculty usage of the labs
– Prepare equipment and supplies based on procedure to be performed by teaching faculty.
-Operate all equipment and manikins available in the lab.
-Assist teaching staff during re-demonstrations session and provide student’s progress feedback to instructors.
-Orientation of faculty regarding laboratory policies, location of items and the operation of the equipment.
-Assist the faculty in setting up and managing the simulation equipment
-Prepare and arrange lab stations with needed equipment for practical/clinical exams such as Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) under supervision of teaching faculty guidance.
-Assist with the development, implementation and updating of policies and procedures to ensure efficient and safe operation of the labs
-Report equipment and manikins malfunction and follow up maintenance work order.
-Attends in-service education related to responsibilities
-Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the employee’s knowledge, skills, and abilities
