-Shall provide assistance to the Chef for a wide number of functions in the kitchen.
-Shall act as a second in command and may be responsible for running the kitchen in the Chef’s absence.
-To follow and complete any instructions given by the Property Manager.
-Set up and close down the kitchen according to the set procedure.
-Assist in the preparation of cooking ingredients including preparation of salads and desserts.
-Prepare food using established production procedures and systems as implemented in the compound.
-Follow and implement the kitchen safety regulations
-Maintain stock levels for all food items and inform the Chef of any shortages.
-Store food properly and safely, marking date and item.
-Keep work area neat and clean at all times; clean and maintain equipment used in food preparation.
-Assist the Chef in planning for new menus.
